Ive been a working musician for about 20 years now, playing on board cruise ships most of the last 10 years.

During COVID all the cruise ships shut down and I found myself not being able to get my next contract lined up with my band. All the local bars/clubs had shut down too so doing any gigs was out of the question so I looked for a way to play music with people online.

At that same time, Rust released the Music DLC Pack and it became the perfect way to practice drums and piano in a video game on the internet with an audience of hundreds of people!  You could hook up an electronic drumset or piano and instantly jam along with other players.

One day I just ran to the Outpost on Rusty Moose and met a fellow musician there who appreciated my music and had a good jam session together. He played some MIDI files using a MIDI player through the piano and I played real drums along with him and we actually got a crowd going and I found myself getting tons of gifts and tips from people who seemed to enjoy our music.

We talked about music a bit and wished more players had some of these high quality MIDIs that I have been putting together and he told me I should just sell my pack, so I put it up for sale and the rest history!
